Fleet Operations - Linehaul Allocation & Time Slots

At Bulk Group, we're looking for an experienced Fleet Operations Specialist who understands linehaul.

n

Success in this role comes from experience in a linehaul transport business, ideally one that operates its own fleet of trucks. You'll have coordinated drivers, allocated company owned vehicles, managed linehaul schedules and understand what it takes to keep a transport network moving.

n

You'll play a key role in coordinating our linehaul network by allocating trucks and drivers, managing customer time slots and ensuring freight moves safely, efficiently and on time.

n

Working closely with our drivers, depot teams and customer service team, you'll make real time operational decisions that keep our network running and deliver outstanding service to our customers.

What you'll be doing:

- Allocate and coordinate trucks and drivers across our linehaul network.
n
- Plan daily linehaul movements to maximise fleet utilisation and operational efficiency.
n
- Manage customer pickup and delivery time slots.
n
- Monitor fleet movements, schedules and on time performance using our Transport Management System (TMS).
n
- Coordinate subcontractors and backloads where required.
n
- Work closely with drivers, depot managers and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
n
- Maintain compliance with NHVR, fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve planning, fleet utilisation and operational performance.

What we're looking for:

n

n
- Previous experience working in a linehaul transport operation is essential.
n
- Experience coordinating a company owned fleet of trucks will be highly regarded.
n




- Proven experience in fleet allocation, transport scheduling or fleet operations.
n
- Strong transport allocation, scheduling or fleet operations experience.
n
- Sound understanding of NHVR, fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility (CoR).
n
- Experience using a Transport Management System (TMS) and fleet tracking technology.
n
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
n
- Ability to make decisions, prioritise work and remain calm in a fast paced operational workplace.

Working Hours

n

This is a full time position working a roster across our Network Operations team. Standard shifts are approximately 8 hours, however rostered start and finish times vary to support operational requirements. Flexibility to work later starts and finishes, where required, is essential.
