Senior Manager - Fund and Investment Operations

Our client is a leading global asset management business undergoing a significant operational transformation. With a focus on creating a scalable, data-driven operating model, the organisation is investing heavily in automation, AI capabilities and operational excellence across its investment management and operational function.

This role is Sydney based and offers the opportunity to play a key leadership role in shaping the future of operations within a sophisticated investment business. Reporting to the Global Head of Operations, this role will be responsible for delivering operational excellence, driving strategic initiatives and leading a team through a period of significant change and growth.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across Investments, Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance and external service providers, you will be instrumental in building a scalable operating model that leverages data, automation and AI to support business growth and enhance decision-making. This role will suit someone with a resilient and confident leadership style, with the ability to challenge, influence and drive outcomes in a complex environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-een Fund and Investment Operations delivery, ensuring strong governance, risk management and operational excellence.
n
- Execute the operational strategy and transformation agenda across multiple operational functions.
n
- Drive process standardisation, automation and AI-enabled initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability and control.
n
- Oversee fund operational activities including NAV oversight, fund tax, distributions, performance fees and regulatory reporting.
n
- Develop and maintain robust operational controls, incident management frameworks and operational resilience capabilities.
n
- Lead governance forums,



stakeholder reporting and operational performance management across the function.
n
- Partner with Product, Technology, Compliance, Risk and Investment teams to successfully deliver change initiatives and new operating models.
n
- Manage key third-party providers, custodians and strategic technology partners.
n
- Build, develop and lead a high-performing operational team, ensuring strong succession planning and capability development.
n
- Act as the senior escalation point for operational issues, incidents and stakeholder matters.

Skills & Experience:

n

n
- Extensive leadership and strategic operational experience within Funds and Investment Management
n
- Have worked for a global or large Investment Manager, and led large operational teams.
n
- Strong technical understanding of fund operations, including NAV oversight, fund tax, distributions, performance fees and operational controls.
n
- Proven track record driving and delivering operational transformation, process improvement and automation initiatives.
n
- Experience working across multiple operational disciplines, including investment and fund operations, compliance, performance or product-related functions.
n
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at executive level.
n
- Experience managing outsourced service providers, custodians and strategic vendor relationships.
n
- Knowledge of Aladdin would be highly regarded.
n
