Fraser Coast Hospice is seeking a dynamic, creative and community-driven Fundraising & Events Coordinator to lead approved fundraising events and campaigns that directly support compassionate end-of-life care in our 6-bed community hospice.
n
This is not just an events role - it's a chance to help sustain dignity, comfort, and care for people and families at one of life's most important stages.
n
About the role
n
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering approved fundraising events, campaigns, and community initiatives that generate vital income for hospice services.
n
Working closely with the Support Services Lead, CEO-Director of Care, Marketing & Communications Coordinator, volunteers, and community partners, you will bring together people, ideas, and energy to create meaningful and successful fundraising outcomes.
n
You will also play a key role in supporting Fundraising Working Parties, helping turn ideas into action and ensuring initiatives are delivered professionally, safely, and successfully.

What you'll be doing
n
n
- Plan and deliver approved fundraising events and campaigns
n
- Coordinate the annual fundraising & events calendar (including budgets and reporting)
n
- Build strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and community groups
n
- Support creative recent fundraising ideas from concept to delivery
n
- Manage event logistics from start to finish (pre, during & post-event evaluation)
n
- Coordinate and support volunteers during events
n
- Support Fundraising Working Parties (agendas, minutes & actions)
n
- Manage fundraising promotion across social media & website updates
n
- Assist with newsletters and donor communications
n
- Prepare monthly fundraising reports and maintain accurate records, Every event you help deliver, every donor you engage, and every campaign you support directly contributes to compassionate end-of-life care in our community.

Hours & conditions
n
n
- 25 hours per week (Part-time)
n
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 2:00pm
n
- Flexibility required for approved fundraising events (evenings & weekends as needed)
n
- Award: Health Professionals & Support Services Award - Level 7
n
n

- Experience in fundraising, events, marketing, or community engagement
n
- Strong organisation and ability to manage competing priorities
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
n
- Experience working with volunteers or community groups
n
- Strong attention to detail and administration skills
n
- Confidence with social media and digital tools (desirable)
n
- Flexibility to attend occasional evening/weekend events, Year 12 or equivalent
n
- Certificate III in Events or related field (or equivalent experience)
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role (desirable)
n
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
n
- Current National Police Check (essential)
