n Employment Type: Highly flexible part-time role, averaging two days per week. Hours may vary week to week depending on maintenance requirements.

Part -Time Primary School Facilities Coordinator

n

Currambena is an independent, progressive preschool and primary school with a long history of nurturing, child-centred education.

n

We're looking for a practical, organised and community-minded Facilities Coordinator to help keep our unique learning workplace safe, welcoming and well cared for.

n

This is a hands-on role with part practical maintenance, and part planning and coordination; working closely with staff, contractors and the Educational Coordinator to keep our school running smoothly.

n

About the Role

n

You'll be responsible for:

n

n
- Coordinating day-to-day maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment
n
- Developing and managing preventative maintenance schedules and asset plans
n
- Sourcing quotes and coordinating contractors and maintenance projects
n
- Monitoring facilities and getting ahead of issues before they arise
n
- Ensuring all maintenance activity meets WHS and legislative requirements
n
- Working with the Educational Coordinator to prioritise what matters most
n
- Keeping accurate maintenance records and documentation
n
- Rolling up your sleeves for hands-on repairs and ad hoc tasks as needed

- Helping create a secure, attractive environment for children, families and staff
n

About You

n

n
- Experienced in facilities and maintenance
n
- Familiarity with asset management systems or preventative maintenance planning
n
- Experience coordinating contractors and managing maintenance projects
n
- Basic computer skills for maintaining records and documentation
n
- Organised, proactive and comfortablemanaging competing priorities
n
- A confident communicator who builds good relationships with staff, contractors and suppliers
n
- Current Working with Children Check
n
- Previous experience working in a school, early childhood or education setting
n
- Knowledge of the NSW Child Safe Standards and a commitment to child-safe practices as well as a solid understanding of WHS requirements.
n
