Lead the Accommodation Team at a Thriving Airlie Beach Icon

Reef Gateway Hotel is a busy, well-established venue within Australian Venue Co., currently undergoing exciting renovations — with even more ahead for the property.

Reporting to the Venue Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the accommodation department, ensuring high standards across guest experience, presentation, team performance, compliance and operational efficiency.

This role is ideal for a robust hospitality leader who enjoys balancing guest service, operational management and team leadership while creating memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead day-to-day accommodation operations
n
- Oversee reservations, check-in/check-out and room allocation processes
n
- Maintain high standards across guest experience, cleanliness and presentation
n




- Manage guest feedback and customer service recovery professionally
n
- Supervise, train and support accommodation team members
n
- Ensure compliance, safety and operational procedures are followed
n
- Complete operational reporting and support continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Monitor occupancy, room standards and operational efficiencies
n
- Support a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture
n
- Work closely with the broader venue team to deliver a seamless guest experience
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Previous experience within accommodation, hotel or hospitality management
n
- Experience using RMS or a similar property management system is essential
n
- Strong knowledge of reservations and accommodation operations
n
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
n
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
n
- Strong guest service and problem-solving skills
n
- Hands-on leadership style with strong attention to detail
n
- Flexible availability including weekends and peak periods when required
n
- A proactive operator who takes pride in standards, team culture and guest experience
