The Chance

n

As part of our electrical team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical maintenance and installation services across remote site operations while maintaining strict safety and compliance standards.

n

We are searching for Electricians for ongoing opportunities for our Weipa, Cloncurry and Groote Eylandt projects. Local opportunities Weipa & Cloncurry residents. FIFO Opportunities from Cairns.

Key Responsibilities

n

Perform electrical maintenance, fault finding, and breakdown repairs

n

Install, test, and commission electrical systems and equipment

n

Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards and site procedures

n

Complete job cards, maintenance reports,



and documentation accurately

n

Follow remote site operational procedures

n

Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings

n

Identify potential issues and elevate to supervisors to prevent delays

n

About You

n

Previous experience in mining or heavy industrial environments (preferred)

n

Strong understanding of remote site work practices (essential)

n

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

n

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

n

Clear and effective communication skills

n

Commitment to maintaining a high standard of safety and workmanship

n

Mandatory Requirements

n

Current QLD Electrical Licence

n

Manual Australian C Class Drivers' Licence (no restrictions)

n

EWP High Risk Work Licence (WP) > 11m or willing to obtain

n

Construction Induction Card (White Card)

n

Current CPR/LVR Certificate (within 12 months)

n

G1 – Apply Risk Management Certificate

n

Working at Heights Certificate (within 3 years) or willing to obtain

n

Ability to pass pre-employment medical and ongoing drug & alcohol testing

n

Highly Regarded

n

HV Switching & Terminations

n

Confined Space Entry (within 3 years)

n

Forklift High Risk Work Licence (LF)

n

RII Machinery Tickets

n

Pre‐employment & Drug and Alcohol checks will be conducted on all prospective employees.
n If you are successful, you may be required to provide a National Police Check.
