As a Program Assistant at our Cowes Community Centre, you will help deliver meaningful, client-centred day activities that support older people and people living with disability to stay connected, active and engaged in their community. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds, brings warmth and initiative to their day, and is committed to creating a healthy, safe and welcoming environment for every client.

Key skills and qualifications you bring:

- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- A creative and innovative approach to program delivery
- Highly developed communication skills for working with a broad range of clients




- An understanding or desire to learn the principles of person-centred planning and experience in transforming plans into actions
- Self-motivated and ability to work autonomously
- Ability to show initiative
- Current First Aid & CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Full Victorian Driver’s License and the ability, confidence or willingness to learn driving a 10-seater bus.

Desirable:

- Experience in working within older adults in a community-based setting
- Aged care qualification
- Experience and understanding of working with groups/facilitating programs
