Controlworks is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Melbourne team.

You'll lead Controlworks' scope on major commercial, healthcare and data centre projects, working with a highly capable engineering team and some of Australia's leading builders and consultants.

The Role

n

You'll be responsible for managing Controlworks' automation and HVAC package on projects valued up to $30M+.

n

This is a delivery role, not a programming role. You'll coordinate people, budgets, procurement, commissioning and client relationships while working closely with our engineering and site teams to deliver outstanding outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

n

- Manage projects from planning through to commissioning and handover.
n
- Coordinate Controlworks' automation and HVAC scope across multiple stakeholders.
n
- Review drawings, specifications and consultant documentation.
n
- Manage budgets, forecasts, WIP and cost-to-complete.
n
- Coordinate procurement, subcontractors and site activities.
n
- Lead commissioning and project close-out.
n




- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
n
- Identify project risks early and implement practical solutions.
n
- Support and mentor Project Engineers where required.
n

About You

n

You'll bring:

n

n
- At least 3 years' Project Management experience within Building Automation, BMS, HVAC or Mechanical Services.
n
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and building automation.
n
- Ability to read construction drawings and technical documentation.
n
- Knowledge of BMS platforms such as Niagara and communication protocols including BACnet and Modbus.
n
- Strong commercial awareness, including forecasting, margin management and cost control.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- A calm, organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
n

It Would Be Excellent If You Also Have

n

n
- A qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Refrigeration or a related discipline.
n
- Experience working in live environments such as hospitals or data centres.
n
- Exposure to Niagara Framework or similar BMS platforms.
n
