Your next career opportunity

In this part-time role, you will provide specialist technical and scientific support for research into poultry behaviour and welfare. A significantcomponentof the role will involve desk-based coding and analysis of animal behaviour from video to support automated monitoring and research. You will also contribute to experimental studies, coordinate researchtrialsand manage laboratory and field-based research infrastructure, while providing technical guidance and training to students and researchers.

What you will deliver:

Provide specialist technical and scientific support for poultry behaviour and welfare research projects.

Undertake detailed coding and analysis of animal behaviour from video to support automated monitoring systems and research outcomes.

Contribute toexperimental design, data collection, analysis and preparation of reports,publicationsand presentations.

Coordinate research and commercial trials, including scheduling,logistics, stakeholdercommunicationand on-site activities.

Manage laboratory and field infrastructure,monitoringequipment,



procedures and compliance with ethics and safety requirements.

Provide technical training and guidance tostudents and researchers in research methods, animal welfarepracticesand use of equipment.

You may be a great fit if you:

Hold a degree in animal science, veterinary bioscience,biologyor a closely related discipline.

Demonstrate sound knowledge of animal behaviour and welfare, with strong commitment to ethical research practice.

Bring experience contributing technical, laboratory,fieldor analytical support to successful research projects.

Possess excellent organisational skills to manage competing priorities and deliver projects within agreedtimeframes.

Apply practical knowledge of research compliance, including animal ethics, biosafety and occupational health and safety.

Engage confidently with students,colleaguesand industry partners, building collaborative relationships across disciplines.
