About the Role

n

We are currently seeking an experienced Mobile Crushing Supervisor to join our team. This is an excellent chance for a Cairns, Mackay or Brisbane based resident to step into a leadership role and drive productivity in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

n

This position is offered on a FIFO or DIDO basis.

n

As a Mobile Crushing Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day quarry operations, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining equipment reliability, and leading a team to uphold the highest safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

n

To lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the site to which you are assigned — whether a quarry, a crushing and screening operation, or both — and its crews, ensuring work is carried out safely, compliantly, efficiently and to production and quality targets.

n

Operate and oversee mobile crushing equipment, including jaw and cone crushers, screens, and conveyors.

n

Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintainer/operators, fostering a strong safety and performance culture.

n

Conduct routine inspections, identify operational issues, and assist with maintenance tasks such as screen changes, wear part replacements, and roller/skirting adjustments.

n

Ensure a clean, level, and well-maintained work area, including proper material blending and effective benching.

n

Ensure the safety of the crew, contractors and visitors on site; provide effective leadership,



direction and development of leading hands, operators and maintainers; ensure safe systems of work, SOPs and statutory obligations are met consistently; maintain strong communication with the General Manager, crew and stakeholders; and promote Nitro Crushing's values and safety culture across all sites

What We're Looking For:

n

Previous experience in a supervisory role within mobile crushing, quarrying, or mining operations.
n Strong knowledge of mobile crushing equipment operation and maintenance.
n A current open Australian driver's license (mandatory).
n Nationally accredited tickets for wheel loader and/or excavator operation (mandatory).

n

S1, S2 and S3 competencies (supervisor safety and health competencies) — a pre-requisite of the role, to be held before the commencement date and maintained throughout employment (mandatory).

n

Demonstrated ability to discharge supervisory obligations consistent with the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999 and the site SHMS.
n Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
n A proactive approach to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
n Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour when required.

Proven leadership of crews in a quarrying, crushing and screening, or mining environment, with sound knowledge of quarry operations and plant operation.

n

Strong planning, organisation, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

n

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage performance and develop people.

n

Reliable, self-motivated and safety-focused, with high attention to detail.

n

Willingness to work across different sites and roster patterns (for example 10/4 or 2/1) on a residential, DIDO or FIFO basis as required.
