Meltemi Mediterrania is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our dynamic team. As the Head Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Chef and overseeing the smooth running of the kitchen operations.

What you'll be doing
n

- Assist the Executive Chef in managing and leading the kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences
n
- Take charge of the kitchen in the Executive Chef's absence and ensure seamless workflow and high-quality food production
n
- Participate in menu planning and development, contributing ideas and techniques to enhance the restaurant's offerings
n
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and portion control to maintain consistent standards
n
- Mentor and train junior chefs, fostering their skills and professional growth
n
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, kitchen hygiene, and cost control measures
n
- Collaborate with the wider team to deliver exceptional customer service and a memorable dining experience
n

What we are looking for
n
n
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or equivalent role in a similar high-volume restaurant setting
n
- Formal culinary training or qualifications in hospitality/culinary arts
n
- Proven track record of leading and motivating a kitchen team to deliver consistently high-quality dishes
n
- Proven ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently and calmly under pressure
n
- Robust knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and cost control practices
n
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the wider restaurant team
n
- Strong knowledge ofCoastal Mediterranean/ Greek cuisineand ingredient-driven cooking
n
- Experience withrotisserieis highly advantageous
n
