About the role

n

We are seeking an IDAM/GRC Consultant to support a major government client on a high-visibility security and compliance initiative. This is a contract role with a preferred location in Ballarat, though candidates based in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, or Perth will also be considered.

n

The role requires full-time on-site presence (5 days/week). Key responsibilities include:

n

n
- Evaluating current Identity and Access Management (IDAM) and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practices
n
- Identifying gaps and recommending improvements aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements
n
- Implementing IDAM frameworks to ensure secure and appropriate access to resources
n
- Deploying GRC frameworks to manage risk and ensure compliance across systems
n
- Working closely with stakeholders to align security practices with business objectives
n

n

The successful candidate

n

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

n

n
- Australian citizenship and an active AGSVA Baseline Clearance (NV1 preferred or eligibility to obtain)
n
- 1–2 years of experience in a consulting or similar role focused on IDAM/GRC security
n
- Strong knowledge of SAP HANA system architecture, database security, and user authorization
n




- Experience with SAP GRC Access Controls modules (ARM, BRM, EAM, ARA)
n
- Familiarity with SAP IdM and general administration within the IdM toolset
n
- Certification in SAP HANA or related fields (desirable)
n
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP Cloud Platform (desirable)
n
- Understanding of threat modeling, secure coding practices, and security testing tools
n
- Passionate, detail-oriented, and proactive with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
