Executive Housekeeper | Quest St Kilda Road

Build and lead a housekeeping team from the ground up.

Quest St Kilda Road is a 104-apartment hotel located on Melbourne's iconic St Kilda Road. We are embarking on an exciting transition to an in-house housekeeping operation and are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Housekeeper to lead this journey.

n

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a rare prospect to establish systems, recruit and develop a team, and create a culture focused on quality, teamwork and exceptional guest experiences.

About the Role

n

As Executive Housekeeper, you will have overall responsibility for housekeeping operations across the hotel. More importantly, you will play a key role in building and shaping the department, with the support of the General Manager and Owners.

n

This role will suit someone who enjoys creating processes, mentoring people and taking ownership of standards and culture.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Recruit, onboard and develop a high-performing housekeeping team
n
- Establish systems, procedures and quality standards for the department
n
- Lead, coach and motivate the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
n
- Manage daily room allocations and productivity, ensuring adequate daily staffing levels
n
- Ensure apartments and public areas are maintained to the highest standards
n
- Conduct room inspections and oversee room release processes
n
- Prepare rosters and manage labour costs
n
- Monitor linen, amenities and cleaning supplies
n
- Work closely with Front Office and Management teams to ensure seamless operations
n




- Drive continuous improvement and foster a positive team culture
n
- Ensure all housekeeping activities comply with WHS and company policies
n

About You

n

You are an experienced housekeeping leader who thrives on developing people and creating systems that set teams up for success.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Executive Housekeeper
n
- Experience leading teams within hotels, serviced apartments or accommodation environments
n
- A proven ability to recruit, train and develop teams
n
- Strong organisational and communication skills
n
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality
n
- Experience managing rosters, stock control and labour costs
n
- A hands-on leadership style and willingness to support the team operationally when required
n
- Must be available Monday - Friday
n
- Full working rights in Australia
