About the Opportunity
n We are seeking a a highly motivated Transitional Nurse Practitioner/Endorsed Nurse Practitioner to join our agile Paediatric team. In this advanced practice role, you will deliver comprehensive, autonomous, and family-centered care to paediatric patients from infancy through adolescence in this dynamic, engaging and rewarding role.

As a Paediatric Nurse Practitioner / Transitional Nurse Practitioner you will be responsible for:
n
n
- Provide autonomous, advanced clinical care within an agreed scope of practice.
n
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose, prescribe and manage patient care.
n
- Deliver evidence-based care and respond to clinical emergencies and deteriorating patients
n
- Provide clinical leadership, consultation, collaboration and appropriate referrals.
n
- Lead quality improvement, research, policy and guideline development.
n
- Supervise, mentor and support the development of nursing staff.
n
- Maintain a clinical learning and development plan to expand scope of practice.
n
- Ensure compliance with NSW legislation, NSW Health policies and National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.
n

About You
n Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
n
n
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse / Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with equivalent of three years fulltime experience in an advanced nursing role.
n
- Authority to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or demonstrated evidence of eligibility to obtain authorisation within 2 years. If working towards your qualification, you will be paid at CNC level 2 wage, till qualifications finished.
n
- An ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team and across acute and community settings.
n
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with proven interpersonal and negotiation skills, inclusive of highly developed skills in computer literacy with word processing and database programs
n
- An ability to provide leadership along with extensive expertise in teaching and education and evidence of participation in research and quality activities.
n
- Evidence of a current Class C drivers licence and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
n
