About the Job
n
There is an exciting opportunity with the Rural Maintenance teamfor a Plant Operator - Dozer. This position is responsible for delivering a high standard of construction and maintenance of Shireroads. Whilst this position is predominantly Plant Operator -Dozer, the position will undertake operation of other plant and perform other duties as directed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
n
n
- Undertake plant operator duties as directed (predominantlydozer operations) but including roller, loader, backhoeetc.
n
- Perform work under limited supervision either individuallyor in a team environment.
n
- Monitor, maintain and construct council infrastructure androads as required.
n
- Maintain appropriate documentation as directed by theForeman Rural Materials Sourcing & Contractor.
n
- Maintain all associated plant & equipment relevant toposition in compliance with operational practice.
n
- Provide supervision and on the job training to other staffas required in liaison with the Foreman Rural MaterialsSourcing & Contractor.
n
- Undertake other duties as required.
n
n
This is a full time position, working 99 hours per week.
n
About you
n
In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you musthave:
n
n
- 'HR' class license.
n
- Minimum three years continuous and competent experienceoperating dozer.
n
- Ability to perform routine mechanical maintenance onvehicular plant.
n
- Demonstrated experience and skills in road construction /maintenance or earthmoving environment.
n
- Ability to be able to work in a team environment.
n
- Time management and organisational skills.
n
- Sound knowledge of Occupational Safety & Healthrequirements.
n
- Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision.
n
- Physical fitness to undertake the inherent requirements ofthe job.
n
- Ability and willingness to work in remote camp locationsand stay overnight as required.
n
- White Card – Construction Safety Awareness Training.
n
