Information Management Officer (APS 6 equivalent)
n Location: Canberra, ACT
n Contract Type: Labour Hire – 3 months with potential for extension
n Start Date: ASAPA federal governmentagency is seeking a skilledInformation Management Officerto lead key initiatives that enhance its information governance maturity. This is a short-term opportunity with the potential to extend, ideal for someone ready to hit the ground running.
n About the RoleIn this dynamic role, you will:

n

n
- Lead and deliver projects to strengthen information management practices.
n
- Maintain and enhance the Information Asset Register.
n
- Provide expert advice on records keeping requirements, including for cloud-based datasets.
n
- Clarify roles and responsibilities for information governance across the organisation.
n
- Review and update record security protocols.
n
- Manage sentencing and disposal of records in accordance with theNational Archives Act 1983.
n
- Maintain system access controls and ensure compliance with reporting obligations (e.g. Harradine Report, NAA Check-up).
n
- Develop training and communication materials to build staff capability.
n
- Draft briefs, procurement documents, and policies related to records and information management.
n
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and contribute to broader corporate services activities.
n

Skills and ExperienceTo succeed in this role, you will need:nn
- Demonstrated experience and/or qualifications in Information Management and records keeping.
n




- Proficiency inTRIM / Content Manager.
n
- Robust communication skills—both written and verbal.
n
- Excellent planning, organisation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
n
- A proactive mindset with sound judgement and initiative.
n

Eligibility Requirementsnn
- Must be an Australian citizen.
n
- Must hold a current Baseline Security Clearance.
n
