Gold Coast Electroplating is a well-established, family-owned Gold Coast business with a small, dedicated team of 13. We have built our reputation over many years through quality workmanship, reliability and outstanding customer service.

We are looking for a reliable and professional MR Truck Driver / Factory Hand to join our team.
n
$31.00 per hour
n
Monday to Thursday: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
n Friday: 6:00 am – 12:00 noon
n
This is a permanent, full-time position with no weekend work.
n
About the Role
n
This is a varied role combining driving with some factory work.
n
You will complete our regular Gold Coast–Brisbane truck run approximately 3–4 days per week, delivering and collecting goods from our established commercial customers.
n
On days when the truck run is not required, you will assist our production team in the electroplating factory.
n
Our deliveries are primarily palletised freight, with forklifts used for loading and unloading wherever possible, keeping manual handling to a minimum.
n
You will drive a well-maintained Hino 300 flat-tray truck and return to our Arundel factory each day.
n
Your Responsibilities
n
n
- Completing deliveries and pickups between the Gold Coast and Brisbane approximately 3–4 days per week
n
- Safely securing and transporting palletised products
n
- Delivering to our regular commercial customers and providing friendly, professional service
n
- Loading and unloading using a forklift
n
- Completing vehicle pre-start inspections
n
- Keeping the truck clean, tidy and roadworthy
n
- Accurately completing delivery and collection documentation
n
- Communicating with customers and our factory throughout the day
n
- Promptly reporting any vehicle defects, delivery issues or delays
n
- Assisting in the factory when the truck run is not required
n
- Assisting with racking metal products in preparation for electroplating
n
- Learning new skills within the business, with opportunities to develop into other areas
n

About You
n

- A current MR Driver Licence
n
- A secure driving history
n
- Good knowledge of the road network between the Gold Coast and Brisbane
n
- Good communication and customer service skills
n
- A professional and friendly manner
n
- The ability to work independently and manage your day efficiently
n
- A willingness to assist with factory duties when required
n
- A reliable, practical and team-focused attitude
n
