Border Bandag are currently seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join their teams in WODONGA VIC. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

n

n
- Diagnose and detect mechanical faults in cars manually or by the use of computer diagnostic programs
n
- Examine vehicle parts to ensure that they are working perfectly
n
- Follow Checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined
n
- Maintain and repair vehicles for customers
n
- Air-conditioning & basic Auto electrical repairs
n
- Assist customers in carrying out routine maintenance on vehicles such as changing oil, lubricating frictional car parts, tightening bolts and nuts and tyre change and rotation
n
- Following environmental sustainable work practices
n
- Help customers in buying quality car parts for replacement
n




- Replace damaged or worn-out car parts
n
- Keep leading mechanic inquiries and render advice on vehicle maintenance
n
- Ensure the safety of vehicles brought in for repair
n
- Daily workshop housekeeping & safety reporting
n
- Test drive each vehicle after repair
n

Qualifications and Skills

n

n
- Certificate III Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
n
- Ideally have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Trade qualified Automotive Technician
n
- Problem-solving skills
n
- Aptitude for technical activities
n
- Ability to work in a team setting
n

n

Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience Full-time Positions available Applications open on 15th July 2026 and closes on 15th August 2026
