Teacher's aides work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to implement effective teaching and learning programs for our students. See our website www.giantsteps.net.au for more information about our services and model.

Duties & responsibilities

n

Support teachers to prepare, manage, and set up teaching resources

n

Support students in the daily class program

n

Support the implementation and evaluation of class programs for the students, including the outdoor and sports program

n





Collaborate effectively within the transdisciplinary team

n

Respect and support colleagues and families through positive communication

n

Actively ensure the ongoing provision of quality teaching for students with autism

n

Requirements

n

Current Working with Children Check

n

Experience with supporting autistic young people with complex support needs, either in a school or community setting

n

First aid certificate or be willing to obtain one

n

Highly energetic with a passion for physical activity

n

Have an active approach to interacting and engaging with children and teens

n

Solid team skills

n
