About the Role

n

Reporting to the Underground Production Superintendent, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading underground crews to achieve production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

n

You will provide frontline leadership, oversee daily mining activities, coordinate resources, and ensure work is completed in accordance with site plans and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise underground mining crews during shift operations.
n
- Promote and maintain a robust safety culture across all activities.
n
- Ensure production and development targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
n
- Coordinate personnel, equipment, and materials to optimise shift performance.
n
- Conduct pre-shift meetings, workplace inspections, and risk assessments.
n
- Monitor compliance with site procedures, mining regulations, and statutory requirements.
n
- Mentor and develop team members to support performance and capability growth.
n




- Investigate incidents, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
n
- Prepare and maintain accurate shift reports and operational records.
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

n

n
- Significant underground mining experience, including supervisory experience.'
n
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
n
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
n
- Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement.
n
- Sound understanding of underground mining methods and equipment.
n
- Current statutory qualifications relevant to the role.
n
- Current driver's licence.
n
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
n
