SGME is a specialist environmental consultancy delivering practical, science-based solutions across the mining, infrastructure, and land development sectors. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join our Brisbane team.

About the Role

n

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of environmental and rehabilitation projects across Australia, collaborating with technical specialists, clients, and stakeholders to develop innovative and practical solutions that support positive environmental outcomes.

- Environmental assessments, approvals and compliance support
n
- Soil and land capability assessments to support rehabilitation outcomes
n
- Geochemical investigations, sampling and risk assessments
n
- Mine rehabilitation, closure planning and post-mining land use strategies
n
- Environmental monitoring, field investigations and site characterisation
n
- Preparation of technical reports, environmental documentation and management plans
n
- Client liaison, stakeholder engagement and project coordination
n
- Supporting knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior team members
n

About You

n

You will have:

n

n
- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
n




- Minimum 5 years' relevant industry experience
n
- Experience in environmental assessments, soil science, geochemistry, rehabilitation, mine closure, or environmental management
n
- Strong technical reporting and communication skills
n
- The ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities
n
- A current driver's licence and willingness to undertake fieldwork
n
- Full Australian working rights
