We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll and Accounts Officer to become an integral part of our Finance & Administration team. This full-time role is pivotal in managing the weekly end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for a diverse workforce. The successful candidate will also provide support across both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Process weekly payroll, including onboarding new employees, terminations, and leave applications.
n
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
n
- Manage payroll queries and maintain highly confidential employee records.
n
- Calculate workers' compensation, long service leave entitlements, and other employee benefits.
n
- Review & process monthly Credit Card Expense Forms
n
- Accounts Payable Process, Review, Pay & Reconcile
n
- Accounts Receivable Process,
Review & Reconcile
n
- Monthly Superannuation Review, Reconcile, Process & Pay
n
- Weekly PAYG Review, Reconcile, Process & Pay
n
- Process weekly payroll journals
n
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for
n
- Provide support and training for staff on payroll systems and procedures.
n

Qualifications and Requirements
n
n
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in high-volume payroll processing, ideally managing pay runs for over 100 employees
n
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with MYOB Payroll
n
- Strong knowledge of awards, EBAs, taxation, superannuation, and payroll legislation
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables)
n
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
n
- High-level interpersonal and communication abilities.
n
- Australian work rights are required for this position
n
- Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
n
