Zoom Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Maintenance Fitter to join an established manufacturing and distribution operation based in Western Sydney.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tradesperson looking for stable work within a high-performing maintenance team. You'll be working across preventative, breakdown and continuous improvement maintenance on static and rotating equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.
n

- Location: Rooty Hill
n
- Pay Rate: $$46.71 - $51.51 per hour (based on experience + OT rates)
n
- Shifts: 6AM starts, Monday to Friday Ongoing Rosters (Overtime available), Wednesday longer days due to weekly shutdown
n
n

About the Role
n
In this role, you will need to take ownership, accountability and display initiative in supporting the ongoing reliability and maintenance of plant equipment across the site.
n
Your duties will include:
n
n
- Preventative and predictive maintenance activities (i.e. fitting tasks)
n
- Breakdown response and fault finding
n
- Maintenance and repair of conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps and gearboxes, valves
n
- Aligning shafts and replacing bearings
n
- Repairing and overhauling plant equipment
n
- Supporting shutdown and continuous improvement activities
n
- Non-structural welding and fabrication work
n
- Recording maintenance activities in SAP or CMMS systems
n
- Liaising with contractors and supervising work groups (where required)
n
- Supporting crane, lubrication and fume treatment systems
n
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
n
- Participating in weekly shutdown maintenance activities where 12-hour shifts may be required on Wednesdays and Thursdays (occasionally)
n
- Remaining available for after-hours call-ins for emergent breakdown and maintenance works when required
n
n
What You Will Bring
n
We would love to hear from hardworking and enthusiastic candidates who ideally have a background in heavy industry and can demonstrate the following:
n
n
- Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade qualification
n
- Strong preventative and breakdown maintenance experience
n
- Exceptional fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
n
- Ability to work independently and problem solve effectively
n
- Confident communication skills and strong teamwork capability
n
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
n
- Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics
n
- Fabrication and basic machining capability highly regarded
n
- Basic computer literacy including Microsoft Word and Excel
n
- SAP or CMMS exposure highly regardedn
Important Availability Requirement
n
Successful applicants must:
n n
- Be available to work throughout the December and January period
n
- Be flexible to work 12-hour shifts on weekly down days where required
n
- Be available for overtime and after-hours emergent works as operational needs arise
n
n
