Instructor in charge - Noarlunga Aquatic and Recreation Centre

The City of Onkaparinga operates the Noarlunga Aquatic and Recreation Centre (NARC), a leading community facility in southern Adelaide. Each year, we welcome around 300,000 visitors. The centre includes a 25m lap and program pool, a family pool, a fully equipped gym, squash courts, multi-purpose sports courts and a busy kiosk. We support everything from everyday recreation to major regional events. We are a welcoming, inclusive and professional workplace. About the role

n

As instructor in charge, you lead the Learn to Swim program. You deliver lessons, mentor instructors and ensure protected, effective program delivery.

Key responsibilities

n

n




- teach swimming and water safety skills
n
- plan and adapt lessons for all abilities
n
- assess swimmer progress and provide feedback
n
- support and mentor instructors
n
- oversee daily program operations
n
- promote the Watch Around Water program
n

n

What you bring

n

n
- strong teaching skills and passion for water education
n
- experience leading or supervising a team
n
- ability to engage children and adults
n

n

Qualifications and requirements

n

n
- AUSTSWIM (or equivalent) Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
n
- Provide First Aid and CPR
n
- Working with Children Check
n
- Child Safe Environments training
n
