Boilermaker / Welder - Heavy Equipment & Fleet Maintenance

BWC is looking for an experienced Boilermaker / Welder to join our close-knit workshop team. This is an excellent prospect for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys a variety of work, from workshop fabrication and repairs to occasional field service work on site.

You'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of construction and mining equipment, including heavy machinery, heavy vehicles and light vehicles, helping to keep our operations running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities
n
n
- Perform welding, fabrication, repairs and maintenance on construction and mining equipment
n
- Repair and maintain heavy and light vehicles
n
- Carry out structural and general fabrication work
n
- Attend site when required to complete breakdowns and maintenance
n
- Work safely while maintaining high standards of workmanship
n
n
To be successful, you will have
n
n
- Trade qualification in Boilermaking/Welding
n
- Current Driver's Licence
n
- Current Construction White/Blue Card
n
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified boilermaker/welder
n
- Experience repairing and maintaining heavy machinery and heavy vehicles
n
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
n
- Strong work ethic, reliability and attention to detail
n
n
Highly regarded
n
n
- High Risk Forklift Licence
n
- Experience working in construction, quarrying or mining environments
n
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
n
- Experience with mobile plant repairs and modifications
