Job Description
We are looking for an SMSF Administrator to keep self-managed super funds accurate, current and audit-ready throughout the year. This is a hands‐on fund administration role for someone meticulous who wants to build deep superannuation administration expertise inside a dedicated SMSF team.
n
SMSFcentral delivers specialist self‐managed super fund tax, compliance and administration for financial advisers and self‐directed trustees. We are accountants, SMSF administrators and superannuation specialists, and we are not a bank or an institution. Our team is in‐house, working from our North Sydney, Gold Coast and Orange offices and from home, we use cloud‐based SMSF technology to give a real‐time view of every fund, and we keep a considered client load so the work is done properly.
n
We put relationships first, we stay across superannuation legislation as it changes, and we care about getting the detail right. That is the standard you would be joining.
n
What you will do
n
n
- Process self‐managed super fund transactions and maintain accurate, up‐to‐date fund records
n
- Reconcile bank, investment and contribution data through cloud‐based SMSF administration software
n
- Prepare the documentation and reporting that advisers and trustees rely on
n
- Keep funds audit‐ready year‐round and help coordinate the annual independent SMSF audit
n
- Liaise with advisers, trustees, banks and investment providers to gather the information each fund needs
n
- Flag compliance matters to the senior accountants early, before they become issues
n
- Use real‐time SMSF data to keep every fund current and accessible
n
n
What you will bring
n
n
- Experience in SMSF or broader superannuation administration, or strong bookkeeping or accounting support experience and a real interest in SMSF
n
- Comfort working with cloud‐based software and a head for accurate data
n
- Strong organisation and the discipline to keep many funds moving at once
n
- A meticulous, detail‐first approach to record‐keeping
n
- Willingness to learn superannuation rules properly as legislation changes
n
- A helpful, reliable manner with advisers, trustees and colleagues
n
n
Why this role is worth your time
n
A explicit path to deeper SMSF expertise. This is a strong role for someone who wants to specialise. You will learn from experienced SMSF accountants and directors, work with proper technology and a considered client load, and grow real superannuation administration expertise rather than picking it up in fragments.
