About the Role
n
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Team Leader for Student Wellbeing to join our Student Wellbeing team. This role offers the opportunity to provide support to a team of Student Wellbeing Advisors; in areas of case management, responding to critical incidents and ensuring daily delivery of the Under 18 Students Care Program
n
Your day to day will consist of:
n
n
- Support student advisors in areas of student case management, overall wellbeing and all enrolment related policies and procedures
n
- Ensure smooth daily operation of the office including staff rosters, student appointments and student advisors scheduled activities
n
- Responding to and supporting students that are experiencing crisis; managing critical incidents in accordance with policy and procedure
n
- Assist the student wellbeing manager to develop resources and deliver training to both new and current colleagues
n
- Maintain a positive relationship with essential UNSW service providers and particularly University Health Service, UNSW Health and Wellbeing, Equitable Learning Services and Campus Security to provide comprehensive welfare support to students
n
- Collaborate with academic and qualified teams to achieve organisational objectives.
n

What makes you perfect for the role?

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
n
n
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (for example social work or psychology) or demonstrated experience in a similar role
n
- A minimum of two years' experience leading high-performing teams, with proven leadership and people management skills, is required
n
- Demonstrated knowledge and thorough understanding of the ESOS Act and Government regulations relating to the provision of education services in general, and support services in particular to international students.
n
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
n
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
n
- A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and providing an outstanding student experience.
n
- A working with children check, or eligibility to apply for a check
