About the Opportunity

A global leader in industrial engineering and high-performance machinery is seeking a Service Manager to lead their Brisbane operations based in Murarrie.

n

This is the ideal next step for a qualified mechanical tradesperson looking to get off the tools and step into a leadership role.

n

You will report to the Managing Director.

n

This is a pivotal residential leadership role where you will drive operational excellence across both workshop and field service environments. Managing a tight-knit team of skilled technicians, you will oversee day-to-day scheduling, champion workshop safety, and act as the primary technical point of contact for a diverse, heavy-industry client base.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Manage and schedule daily workflows for field service jobs and workshop projects.
n
- Mentor and lead a small team (5-15 people) of qualified mechanical tradespeople to ensure high-quality service delivery.
n
- Maintain robust relationships with industrial accounts, offering proactive technical solutions and swift issue resolution.
n
- Streamline workshop systems and procedures to boost efficiency and consistency.
n




- Cultivate a rigorous safety-first culture and ensure full compliance with quality and environmental standards.
n

What You Bring

n

n
- Mechanical Trade Qualification (Fitter, Mechanical or equivalent).
n
- Proven experience managing technical teams (3-15 people) within a field service or heavy workshop environment (you are a Workshop Manager, Team Lead or Field Service Manager).
n
- Good to have (not required): Experience working within heavily regulated sectors such as Oil & Gas, compression technology, or heavy industrial processing.
n
- Computer literacy: outlook, word, excel...
n
- A valid Australian driver's licence and a current passport are required.
n
