Customer Service Officer – Machinery & Hire Specialist

As a Customer Service Officer in our Specialised Machinery & Hire team, you'll be the first point of contact for customers requiring heavy vehicle, machinery transport and recovery solutions. You will be responsible for handling a variety of customer enquiries while delivering a high standard of professionalism and outstanding customer service.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

n

Receive and coordinate enquiries relating to heavy vehicle, machinery and equipment transport and recovery

n

Liaise with customers, operators, workshops, construction companies, transport businesses

n

Coordinate specialised recovery and transport jobs with our Operations and Despatch teams

n

Build strong relationships with repeat commercial customers and equipment hire companies

n

Maintain accurate records within internal systems

n

Provide exceptional customer service while working in a fast-paced operational environment

n

About you:

n

To be a successful applicant for this role you must be able to demonstrate:

n

Experience in transport, logistics, heavy vehicle, civil construction, plant hire or earthmoving industries would be desirable

n

An understanding of trucks, trailers, heavy vehicles or machinery

n

Previous experience in scheduling, fleet coordination or customer service within a transport environment

n





Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a willingness to learn

n

Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with customers from a variety of industries

n

Strong computer skills and the ability to manage multiple systems simultaneously

n

Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends

n
