About the Role: We are seeking experienced and reliable Medical Receptionists to join our friendly team. The ideal candidates must have experience using Best Practice software and a passion for providing excellent patient care. You will be the first point of contact for patients and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our busy practice.

We are looking for candidates for our Hoppers Crossing, Melton and Braybrook sites.

n

Hours of Work:

n

Hours will vary as needed. The clinics have different opening and closing time, but earliest opening is 6:45AM, and latest closing time is 10PM.

n

The clinics are open on weekends and therefore weekend availability will be needed.

n

(Closing time typically between [e.g., 5:30 PM–10:00 PM], depending on clinic schedule.)

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet patients warmly and professionally
n
- Manage appointments, recalls, and reminders using Best Practice
n
- Answer phone calls and handle patient enquiries
n
- Process billing and Medicare claims
n
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
n




- Assist with administrative tasks to support clinical staff
n
- Ensure the reception area is clean, welcoming, and organized
n
- Handle urgent situations with professionalism and efficiency
n

Requirements:

n

n
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist in a GP setting
n
- Proficiency with Best Practice software is essential
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities
n
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Knowledge of Medicare billing processes preferred
n
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (as per current health guidelines)
n
