Job Description

We're looking for a friendly, reliable front desk receptionist to be the face of our short-term letting business. Working on full time basis, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests — welcoming them on arrival, handling enquiries and bookings, and making sure every stay gets off to a smooth start. This role suits someone who enjoys people, stays organised under pressure, and is adaptable with shifts including weekends, public holidays, and peak periods.

Key responsibilities

- Guest check-in and check-out
n
- Warmly greet guests on arrival and manage a smooth, efficient check-in
n
- Verify guest identification and booking details, and process any outstanding payments, deposits or bonds
n
- Issue keys, access codes or entry passes and explain property features, house rules, Wi-Fi, parking and local information
n
- Manage check-outs, including key/access return, and note any damage, extra charges or lost property
n
- Handle late arrivals, early check-in requests and after-hours access in line with our procedures

Bookings and enquiries

n

n
- Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries by phone, email and online messaging
n
- Take and confirm reservations, and manage changes, extensions and cancellations
n
- Manage listings and messages across booking platforms (e.g. Airbnb, Booking.com, Stayz) and keep the calendar and availability up to date
n
- Provide guests with accurate information on rates, availability, property details and local attractions
n
- Upsell additional nights, services or upgrades where appropriate
n

General front desk and support

n

n
- Log and pass on maintenance issues and liaise with cleaning/housekeeping so properties are guest-ready
n
- Handle guest questions, requests and complaints calmly, escalating to a manager when needed
n
- Keep accurate records and assist with basic daily administration and reporting
