A well-established, family-owned civil construction company operating across the South West of Western Australia is seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Operator to join their growing team.

n

This business has built a strong reputation delivering high-quality civil infrastructure, car parks, subdivisions and commercial projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a skilled operator with strong final trim and finishing experience to support their expanding workload.

The Role

n

This position involves operating mobile plant, primarily a Posi Track / Skid Steer, to complete final trim and finishing works across a range of civil construction projects.

n

You will be responsible for working to tight tolerances (5-7mm) and ensuring surfaces are prepared to precise levels and specifications.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n
- Operating Posi Track / Skid Steer for final trim and detailed finishing work
n
- Preparing and trimming surfaces to final levels and specifications
n
- Reading and interpreting civil construction plans
n
- Assisting with site preparation, grading and finishing works
n
- Operating additional machinery where required (excavator, roller)
n
- Working collaboratively with supervisors and site teams
n
- Maintaining a protected, clean and organised worksite
n

About You

n

n




- Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Operator within civil construction
n
- Minimum 1-2 years of mobile plant operator experience within civil construction is required, although candidates with 5-10 years are preferred.
n
- Strong background in final trim and finishing works
n
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience with final trim and finishing works is required
n
- Ability to achieve high-precision tolerances (5-7mm)
n
- Experience working on car parks, subdivisions or commercial construction sites (highly regarded)
n
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans
n
- Understanding of levels, grading and site preparation
n
- Experience with or exposure to GPS machine guidance systems
n
- Some hands-on experience with GPS machine guidance systems is required
n
- Reliable, safety-focused and able to work both independently and within a team
n
- 2 experience minimum, preferably 5-10 years experience
n
- White Card (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Current Driver's Licence
n
- Relevant plant/machinery tickets (or willingness to obtain in Australia)
n
