Australia Post Counter Operator in Post Office

Helensvale Plaza Post Office is seeking a Postal Services Officer to join a great team in a vibrant, challenging and rewarding setting offering the full range of Australia Post products and services.

n

This is a great opportunity for applicants who have Australia Post, Banking or extensive Sales experience. We are a busy Post Office you must be able to work well under pressure during the busy periods.

n

Casual Position with approx. 15-30 hours with the opportunity for more depending on experience. 1 Saturday a month is required for a 4 hour shift 9:00am-12:00pm

n

Office hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

n

9.00am to 12pm noon Saturday.

n

- Must be able to lift a 16kg parcel
n
- Be able to stand for the duration of your days work

- Be customer focused and be able to work collaboratively with your team to deliver solutions

- Be fast and efficient

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

n

n
- Perform customer sales and service transactions




n
- Maintain a cash advance accurately which includes handling and processing cash, cheque, credit cards and EFTPOS
n
- Promote and process a broad range of financial agency transactions through Australia Post's technology systems
n
- Conduct and process a range of identity service transactions (e.g. Australian Passport Applications) to establish applicant's identity with high level of accuracy and compliance according to requirements
n
- Promote product and services through up selling and cross selling, merchandising and other promotional activities
n
- Accept mail for lodgement, with accurate assessment of applicable charges
n
- Build collaborative relationships with customers; seek to understand the needs of both business and consumer customer types
n
