Diverse Ideas Australia Pty Ltd is seeking passionate and dedicated part-time & casual Disability Support Workers to join our team in Rutherford, NSW. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering and supporting individuals with diverse needs, ensuring they can live with dignity and independence.

What you'll be doing

n

Assisting individuals with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

n

Providing emotional support and engaging clients in social and recreational activities to promote their wellbeing

n

Advocating for the rights and needs of clients, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of care and support

n

Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure high-quality service delivery

n

What we're looking for

n

Relevant qualifications in disability support, community services, or a related field (lived experience is ok)

n

Experience in providing person-centred care and support to individuals with diverse needs

n

Strong communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families

n

Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of people with disabilities

n

Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team

n

A current driver's licence and reliable transportation
