At Pentacon, we deliver complex civil infrastructure projects across Queensland, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of some of our most important work.

n

This is more than a project delivery role. We're looking for a commercially minded leader who can build strong client relationships, mentor project teams, manage contractual risk and drive outstanding project outcomes.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the delivery of major civil construction projects while providing leadership and guidance to Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors.

n

You'll be accountable for project performance from award through to completion, ensuring commercial success, operational excellence and exceptional client service.

What You'll Be Doing

n

Lead the successful delivery of major civil construction projects

n

Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to Project Managers and project teams

n

Manage project financial performance, forecasting and profitability

n

Oversee contract administration, variations and commercial risk

n

Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships

n

Develop project strategies, construction methodologies and delivery plans

n

Ensure projects are delivered safely on schedule and within budget

n





Identify business opportunities and support future tender submissions

n

Drive continuous improvement across project delivery and operational performance

n

What You'll Bring

n

Local to the Mackay Region essential

n

Extensive experience managing large civil construction projects

n

Strong leadership and people management capability

n

High-level commercial and contractual knowledge

n

Demonstrated experience administering construction contracts

n

Excellent planning, programming and resource management skills

n

Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities

n

Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting and cost control

n

A collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor and develop others

n

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar (preferred)
