About the Role

n

We are seeking a reliable, personable, and organised Casual Medical Receptionist.

n

This role is ideal for someone looking for excellent work-life balance, a student, or a parent looking to keep their foot in the door. The base commitment is 1 day per week (specific day to be discussed). However, a key requirement for this role is flexibility to step up and cover extra days during the school holiday period this coming July.

Key Responsibilities

n

As the face of the clinic, your day-to-day will involve:

n

- Patient Care: Greeting patients warmly upon arrival, managing check-ins, and creating a positive first impression.
n
- Appointment Management: Answering phone calls, managing emails, and booking appointments efficiently using our practice software.
n
- Billing & Admin:



Processing payments (Medicare, health funds, and private billings), handling patient intake forms, and scanning/filing medical records.
n
- Clinic Presentation: Ensuring the waiting room and reception desk remain tidy, organised, and welcoming.
n
- Triage & Communication: Handling inquiries professionally and escalating urgent medical queries to the nursing or clinical team as appropriate.

What We Are Looking For

- Previous experience in a medical reception or customer service role.
n
- Exceptional communication skills and a empathetic, patient-first attitude.
n
- Robust multitasking skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
n
- Proficiency in medical software is a bonus.
n
- Availability for 1 consistent day per week, plus the flexibility to work additional shifts during the July school holidays.
