Job Description
ARA Mechanical Services is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver complex construction projects in the Sydney metropolitan area. This full-time role will be responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

What you'll be doing

- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
n
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
n
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
n
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
n
- Manage and track project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.
n
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
n
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely invoices and progress billings.
n
- Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts.
n
- Analyse and report on project financial performance.
n
- Conduct regular project meetings to communicate progress, address issues, and ensure team alignment.
n
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
n
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
n
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with industry standards, building codes, and company policies.
n
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols, promoting a protected work environment.
n
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets project specifications.
n
- Resolve any conflicts or problems that arise on the job site.
n
- Conduct final inspections and ensure all punch list items are completed.
n
- Prepare and submit project closeout documentation, including as-built drawings and warranties.
n
- Obtain client sign-off and ensure project satisfaction.
n

What we're looking for
n
n
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
n
- 5-10 years of experience in HVAC project management.
n
- Proven track record of successfully managing HVAC projects of varying sizes and complexities.
n
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and industry standards.
n
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Aconex etc).
n
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
n
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
n
- Ability to read and interpret standards, specifications, and technical drawings.
n
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
n
- Valid driver's license.
