business grows. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Transport/Logistics Manager

n

to join our dynamic dispatch team and oversee the day-to-day transportation operations for

n

our busy manufacturing facility.

n

Role Overview:

n

As the Transport/Logistics Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient

n

movement of goods from our warehouse directly to our customers. You will be responsible

n

for organising and managing a fleet of 25 trucks, scheduling multiple daily runs, and

n

coordinating logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries. This is a genuine

n

opportunity to shape how our transport operation runs and grows - your organisational skills

and ability to lead a team will be key to maintaining our high service standards and meeting

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

Oversee the schedule of pre-organised daily routes for a fleet of 25 trucks, ensuring

n

on-time deliveries and efficient operations.

n

Coordinate multiple runs where required across Monday to Friday, considering

n

optimal routes, traffic patterns, and delivery windows including prioritising AM crane

n

meets / high volume customers.

n

Manage a team of drivers, providing leadership, support, and ensuring safety and

n

compliance with regulations.

n

Monitor fleet performance and work with maintenance teams to ensure trucks are in

n

top working condition and with all required gear (e.g. straps, safety cones, etc.).

n

Organise and facilitate truck inspections for registrations as required.

n





Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver logs, and vehicle maintenance

n

schedules including working with delivery technology (e.g. in-vehicle cameras,

n

mapping programs).

n

Communicate with internal departments, including production and customer service,

n

to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.

n

Liaise with customers directly where required to ensure optimal deliveries.

n

Manage budgets and track transport costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and

n

Monitor loading requirements for compliance, product protection and quality

n

assurances.

n

Supporting the loading team through on-site training, supervision and safety

n

oversight.

n

Requirements:

n

Proven experience in transport or logistics management, preferably within a

n

manufacturing or similar industry.

n

Solid organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-

n

paced environment.

n

Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage drivers and collaborate

n

across teams.

n

In-depth knowledge of transport regulations, health & safety standards, and

n

compliance requirements.

n

A proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting on the go.

n

Ability to adjust plans or work out on-the-go issues as needed to meet customer and

n

business needs.
