We are seeking an experienced Security Advisor to join a national protective security team, providing day-to-day support across personnel, physical, information, and security governance functions. This is a full-time permanent chance based in Canberra, ACT, offering the chance to work within a highly secure and mission-critical environment.

Due to the nature of the projects and environments supported, candidates must hold a current TSPV (Top Secret Positive Vetting) security clearance.

This role would be particularly well suited to candidates looking to transition from into a long-term civilian career, where they can continue to apply their security expertise while contributing to nationally significant programs.

Major Duties
n
n
- Providing advice across key protective security disciplines.
n
- Supporting Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) obligations.
n
- Assisting with security incidents, investigations and reporting.
n
- Maintaining security policies, procedures and compliance activities.
n
- Supporting security audits, accreditations and governance requirements.
n
- Managing security-related administration and stakeholder engagement.
n

Mandatory Skillsets (5)
n
n
- Current PV Clearance.
n
- Experience in Defence, Defence Industry, Government or National Security environments.
n
- Understanding of DSPF, PSPF and AGSVA clearance processes.
n
- Knowledge of personnel, physical or information security practices.
n
- Strong written communication and reporting skills.
n
- Ability to work in a highly regulated environment while building positive stakeholder relationships.

Security Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a minimum current NV1 Security Clearance.
