Industrial Electrician – Maintenance Team
n
Australian Plastic Profiles Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of Pipe King PVC pressure pipes, fittings, profiles and conduits for the building and telecommunications industries. The company, part of the Legrand international group, has a national presence with production centered in Sydney's Sutherland Shire.

APP is seeking a qualified Industrial Electrician to join our Maintenance Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on tradesperson who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
n
As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown maintenance on a variety of production and plant equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
n
About the Role
n
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain, troubleshoot and improve manufacturing equipment across the facility.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
Performing preventative maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules.
n
Responding to equipment breakdowns and carrying out fault-finding and repairs.
n
Diagnosing electrical, control, and instrumentation faults on production machinery.
n
Maintaining motors, drives, sensors, control systems, switchboards, and electrical equipment.
n
Supporting equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning projects.
n
Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
n
Accurately completing maintenance records, reports, and work orders.
n
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and statutory requirements.
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
Electrical Trade Qualification as an Electrician, Industrial Electrician, or equivalent.
n
Current NSW Electrical Licence.
n
Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial or production environment.
n
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
n
Experience with PLC-controlled equipment, motors, VSDs, sensors, and industrial automation systems.
n
Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
n
A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
n
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
n
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
n
To work weekends on a rotating roster to support operational requirements
n
PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
n
Instrumentation knowledge.
n
Experience with CMMS or maintenance management systems.
n
Exposure to automated production lines and conveyor systems.
n
