We're accelerating the global transition to clean energy by advancing the technology that helps renewable energy operators optimise performance, cost and reliability at scale.

Our multidisciplinary team - spanning engineers, meteorologists, physicists and software specialists - is growing rapidly and we're now seeking a Product Owner to drive the next phase of development for our core software platform, NEXO.

The prospect

n

We're looking for an outstanding Product Owner to help refine, document, test and deliver high-impact features.

n

This role is ideally suited to a mid-career professional who is looking for a new challenge in an agile, scale-up environment. A high attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills will be key!

n

Reporting directly to the Head of Product, the successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional leads and in-house technology teams to realise our goal of becoming a global leader in energy intelligence.

What you'll be doing

n

Producing documentation that helps the wider team to successfully deliver features and enhancements:

n

Participate in planning and discovery sessions

n

Translate initiatives into epics and user stories

n

Document and validate detailed requirements

n

Managing the product backlog and release schedule to maximise team efficiency and impact:

n

Curate the development backlog in Jira

n

Help to set, communicate and drive sprint goals and manage Agile rituals

n

Monitor progress and communicate with key stakeholders

n

Test and QA new features

n

Coordinate the release schedule and related activities

n

Expanding our understanding of key users and stakeholders:

n

Contribute to research activities,



including interviews, surveys and desktop reviews

n

Help to synthesise, document and socialise key insights using a variety of methods including JTBD, personas, journey maps and job stories

n

Influence team priorities and the broader product roadmap

n

Identifying ways to improve and scale Proa's product development practices:

n

Help to analyse data to gauge team and product impact

n

Refine product planning and delivery processes.

n

What you'll bring to the role

n

5+ years professional experience working with SaaS products, possibly as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or Product Manager

n

Experience working with software development teams in an Agile environment

n

Excellent communication, collaboration and documentation skills

n

A passion for human-centered design and an interest in the renewable energy transition

n

Nice to have

n

Experience delivering complex, data-driven or technical systems

n

Familiarity with weather data, IoT hardware, or energy-related technologies

n

Knowledge of data collection, visualisation and analysis techniques

n
