Small Animal Specialist Hospital – Sippy Downs QLD

SASH Sunshine Coast provides excellent multidisciplinary specialist and 24/7 emergency care with the support of state-of-the-art purpose-built facilities, including access to on-site five days per week specialist Internal Medicine care.
n Internal Medicine specialise in diagnosing diseases, particularly those that are challenging to identify and those for which advanced testing may be required, and we're fortunate to have a diverse team of Specialist Veterinarians and Nurses with a combined total of over a century of clinical expertise across our hospitals!

We are now seeking a part time Medicine Nurse who can work Monday's and Tuesday's preferably, offering 18 hours per week initially.

n

Who are we looking for?

n

n
- A keen interest in Internal Medicine and a desire to work closely with our patients throughout our entire SASH journey.
n
- Experience with supporting medicine specialists with medicine procedures, imaging and facilitating blood work ups etc.
n
- Experience inadvancedanaesthesia & ventilation is desirable but not essential.A training program will be available to the right person to support their ongoing learning and development.
n
- Confidence to manage and prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment
n
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
n

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

n

n
- Completed a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
n
- A minimum of 2 years, full-time experience as a qualified nurse.
n
- Previous experience in internal medicine would be highly regarded but is not essential.
n
- Previous experience working as a nurse in an emergency hospital would be highly regarded but is not essential.
n
- Motivation and participation in continuing education outside of paid work.
n
