Holroyd Private Hospital is a well-established 48-bed Surgical, Medical, and Rehabilitation facility located in Guildford. Our hospital features three operating theatres and provides a diverse range of specialties including endoscopy, gynaecology, ophthalmology, general surgery, bariatric, and plastic surgery.

About the Role

n

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Scrub Scout Nurse to join our perioperative team on a permanent part-time basis.

n

This role will involve working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the wider perioperative team to ensure protected, efficient, and high-quality surgical care.

n

Hours

n

n
- Scrub Scout Nurse: 16 hours per fortnight
n

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Deliver safe and high-quality care within the operating theatre environment
n
- Perform the scrub/scout role across a range of surgical procedures
n
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and perioperative teams
n




- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterile technique
n
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
n
- Uphold excellence in patient safety and clinical standards
n
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture
n

n

Qualifications

n

n
- Current registration with AHPRA
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Scrub Scout Nurse
n
- Demonstrated experience in: Laparoscopic procedures
n
- Ophthalmology (eye surgery)
n
- Strong clinical skills and commitment to patient-centred care
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
n

n

Experience in the private hospital sector is highly desirable.
