Job Description

A rapidly growing international renewable energy developer and investor is seeking an Energy Markets Analyst to join its Australian team.

You will work cross-functionally to provide data-driven insights, enhance asset performance, and support market strategy in an increasingly complex and volatile energy setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyse NEM market dynamics, including pricing, demand, generation and regulatory developments
n
- Monitor real-time market conditions and key drivers impacting price formation
n
- Support forecasting and modelling of prices, demand and renewable generation
n
- Develop and maintain analytical tools used for revenue forecasting and market assessment
n
- Provide market intelligence to optimise performance of wind and battery storage assets
n
- Identify risks and opportunities across short- and long-term market conditions
n
- Support investment decision-making through commercial and market analysis
n
- Produce clear, actionable insights and reports for internal stakeholders
n
- Contribute to improving internal analytics, modelling frameworks and processes
n

Experience

n

n
- 2–4 years' experience in the Australian electricity market
n
- Strong understanding of NEM fundamentals, including dispatch, pricing and volatility drivers
n
- Experience with energy market modelling, forecasting or analytics
n
- Proficiency in Python, SQL or similar analytical tools
n

n
