About the role
n
Peabody is seeking an experiencedOutbye Electrical Coordinatorto join the team at our Centurion underground mine, located approximately 160km west of Mackay.
n
Reporting to the Outbye Superintendent, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and close-out of all electrical maintenance activities. The role ensures optimal performance and reliability of outbye infrastructure systems, supporting protected and efficient delivery of production targets.

Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Lead the development and implementation of effective electrical maintenance strategies
n
- Provide strong leadership and development to electrical maintenance crews
n
- Ensure optimal equipment performance aligned with the mine plan
n
- Manage relationships with OEMs and contractors
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across teams
n
- Ensure compliance with statutory inspections, tooling, and calibration requirements
n
- Maintain underground equipment compliance with site standards
n
- Assist with budget development and cost management through SAP systems
n
- Oversee weekly work schedules and shutdown planning to minimise unplanned downtime
n
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, statutory, and site requirements
n

This role operates on a9-day fortnight roster(Monday-Friday, Monday-Thursday) and supports aresidential (Moranbah), DIDO, or FIFO lifestyle.

About you
n
n
- Electrical trade qualification or engineering degree
n
- EEM competencies (highly regarded)
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar underground coal mining role
n
- Strong commitment to safety and ability to foster a positive safety culture
n
- Demonstrated leadership capability and team development experience
n
- Experience with SAP or similar maintenance management systems
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
- Proactive problem-solving ability and a "can-do" attitude
n
n
You will also demonstrate a strong understanding of risk management and hazard identification, along with a flexible, team-focused approach.
