We're partnering with a local government organisation to recruit an experienced Events Officer for a long-term temporary engagement. This part-time opportunity offers the chance to join a high-performing team responsible for delivering a diverse calendar of civic and community events that make a real impact across the region.

The Opportunity:
n
Working within a collaborative communications and engagement team, you'll support the planning, coordination and delivery of a wide range of events. No two weeks will look the same, with everything from formal civic functions and community celebrations through to stakeholder engagement activities and special events.
n
This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can confidently manage competing priorities, and enjoys being both behind the scenes and front-and-centre when required.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
n
n
- Coordinating and delivering community and civic events from planning through to pack down
n
- Managing event logistics, suppliers and stakeholder relationships
n
- Supporting event promotions and community engagement initiatives
n
- Working closely with internal teams,
community groups and external partners
n
- Assisting with event administration, reporting and event-related communications
n
- Contributing to events that create positive outcomes for the local community
n
n
About You:
n
We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring previous events experience to the team. You will ideally have:
n
n
- Demonstrated experience in event management, marketing or community engagement
n
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
n
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
n
- Confidence working with a range of stakeholders, including senior executives and community representatives
n
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
n
- A current C Class Driver Licence
n
n
Local government experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
n
