Bars N Racks Australasia Pty Ltd is a well-established Sydney-based automotive accessories and vehicle service company specialising in 4WDs and passenger vehicles.

We provide professional vehicle servicing, diagnostics, repairs and the installation of premium aftermarket accessories including roof racks, tow bars, bull bars, suspension systems, canopies and other 4WD equipment.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our workshop team in Brookvale.

n

About the Role

n

Working within our busy workshop, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles while also installing quality aftermarket automotive accessories.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures.
n
- Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
n
- Perform vehicle inspections, oil services and general mechanical repairs.
n
- Inspect, test and repair engines, transmissions, steering, suspension and braking systems.
n




- Repair and replace defective mechanical components.
n
- Perform fault finding and troubleshooting.
n
- Conduct road tests following repairs and maintenance.
n
- Complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and workshop procedures.
n
- Install aftermarket automotive accessories including roof racks, tow bars, bull bars and suspension components.
n
- Safely operate workshop equipment and diagnostic tools.
n
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.

Skills & Experience

n

To be successful you will have:

n

n
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis (or equivalent).
n
- Previous experience working as a Motor Mechanic.
n
- Strong knowledge of light vehicle servicing and diagnostics.
n
- Excellent understanding of vehicle mechanical systems.
n
- Ability to use automotive diagnostic equipment.
n
- Ability to interpret service manuals and technical information.
n
- High attention to detail.
n
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
n
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
n
- Current Australian Driver Licence preferred.
n
