This is a hands-on operational engineering role with a strong focus on the Microsoft technology stack. You will support business-critical infrastructure, manage incidents and technical changes, and contribute to project delivery across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
- Administer and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
n
- Manage Microsoft 365 services, particularly Outlook and SharePoint administration.
n
- Support Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including identity, access and authentication services.
n
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments.
n
- Support Azure networking and security services, including Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups, routing and VLANs.
n
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, authentication, connectivity and application-support incidents.
n
- Manage server patching, updates, monitoring, capacity and performance.
n
- Plan and implement infrastructure and security changes.
n
- Perform root-cause analysis and support the resolution of recurring incidents.
n
- Work closely with internal technology teams, vendors and product squads.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, reliability and operational efficiency.
n
- Maintain technical documentation, server inventories and change records.
n
n
What we are looking for
n
n
- Strong hands‐on experience administering Microsoft Azure environments.
n
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Outlook and SharePoint.
n
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
n
- Extensive Windows Server administration experience.
n
- Experience with Azure Firewall, NSGs and wider network‐security concepts.
n
- Good understanding of routing, firewalls, VLANs and enterprise network infrastructure.
n
- PowerShell or similar scripting experience within Microsoft environments.
n
- Experience supporting infrastructure in a large enterprise operations environment.
n
- Robust troubleshooting skills across cloud, server, identity and networking technologies.
n
- The ability to take technical ownership of incidents and infrastructure changes.
n
n
Desirable experience
n
n
- Azure Administrator certification or equivalent AZ-104 knowledge.
n
- Azure DevOps administration across Boards, Repos and Pipelines.
n
- being hands‐on, can work independently and is comfortable taking ownership of infrastructure issues from investigation through to resolution.
