Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Modeller to join our dynamic Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in data modelling and will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data models that support our business objectives. This position requires a deep understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, and data governance.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop comprehensive data models that meet business requirements and enhance data quality.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze data requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.

- Implement best practices for data modelling, including normalization, denormalization, and data lineage.
n
- Work closely with data engineers and architects to ensure seamless integration of data models into the data pipeline.
n
- Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and recommend solutions.
n
- Document data models, data flows, and metadata to ensure clarity and maintainability.
n
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data modelling team members.
n
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data modelling and data engineering.

Mandatory Skills

- Proven expertise in data modelling techniques and methodologies.

- Strong experience with data warehousing concepts and tools.
n
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).

- Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks.

- Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective data models.
n
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

- Understanding of machine learning concepts and their application in data modelling.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
n
- Master's degree or relevant certifications in data management or data engineering is a plus.
n
- 15+ years of experience in data modelling and data engineering roles.
