Afrimat (CM) Western Cape (Pty) Ltd, based at Peak Central Workshop – Eersteriver, has a vacancy for a:

Field Service Mechanic

n

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

n

n
- Minimum Grade 12
n
- Qualified Earthmoving equipment Mechanic (Red Seal/Trade Test)
n
- Valid Driver's License - Code 10/14
n
- 5 years' experience as a Field Service Mechanic Diesel Mechanic
n
- Must have knowledge on caterpillar and Bell equipment
n
- Must have knowledge of On Key and SIS(Cat) systems
n
- Pre-employment medical required
n
- Computer Literate
n

Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)

n

n
- Always maintain skilled workmanship standards
n
- Strictly adhere to applicable Quality Assurance Processes & Procedures
n
- Have knowledge of engines, hydraulics pneumatics, undercarriage and auto electrical.
n
- Repair loaders dumpers excavators' trucks & LDV's within specification and agreed repair times
n




- Ensure complete, accurate and timeous job card feedback and repair reports
n
- Conduct troubleshooting, Fault Diagnosis and do RCA on failures
n
- Perform machine inspections on vehicles and compile backlog lists
n
- Coordinate assistants to carried out first line of maintenance tasks
n
- Pro-actively support & participate in safety & work practice related initiatives
n
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment in accordance with the applicable policy & prescriptions
n
- Keeping own working area clean, tidy & presentable always
n
- Managing & maintaining tooling in good, serviceable condition
n
